The City of Courtenay is the fourth largest city on Vancouver Island and it continues to grow and develop. More than 25,000 people call this city home. Spectacular natural vistas of the mountains and ocean are just a small part of the allure of this city. The Comox Glacier looks down over the city from the Island Mountain range and the seaside town of Comox is across the ocean bay.
Recreational and social opportunities abound. Skiing, mountain biking, golf and fishing are just a few of the things that you can do while enjoying any number of social clubs. There are a wide variety of restaurants and local attractions to keep you busy. Gourmet food and some of the greatest local fast food will tempt you. If shopping is your thing, there are a number of malls and many big box stores to keep you occupied.
Home sales are strong and diverse. Almost every type of home and price range can be found here while being more affordable than the mainland. Crown Isle is a neighbourhood of some of the nicest homes in the city. Many are either custom or semi-custom built. This 871 acre development continues to offer an increasing number of homes to potential buyers but there are often more buyers than listings because of the attraction of the area.
There are a number of other family neighbourhoods in Courtenay. Aberdeen Heights and Valley View Estates are located in the eastern part of the city. The western and southern part of the city offer a wide variety of homes including a few new developments. The north offers rural subdivision options and the downtown core offers both older and newer homes.
Right next door is the scenic ocean-side town of Comox. This charming town of about 15,000 people offers many different real estate options.
A new hospital, a busy airport able to take you directly to Vancouver, Calgary and Edmonton and most big box stores are part of what makes Courtenay such a desirable relocation destination. Drop by for a visit and connect with Brett to help you buy or sell a home in the Comox Valley
